What is a hybrid lube?

A hybrid lubricant blends water-based and silicone ingredients. It gives the slick, long-lasting feel of silicone with the easier clean-up of a water-based formula. It is a good middle ground if you want more glide than water-based but do not want the stickiness of pure silicone.

It is safe with latex condoms. Because it contains some silicone, check the label before using it with silicone toys, and do a small patch test on the toy if you are unsure. Hybrid lubes work well for longer sessions, for massage and for anyone who finds water-based lube dries too fast.

If you have any doubt about toy compatibility, ask us or try a small test patch on the base of the toy. We can suggest a lube that works for your collection.
