Why a special lube for anal play?

The anus does not make its own lubrication, and the tissue is thin, so anal play needs more lubricant than other types of play. Anal lubes are thicker and longer lasting, and many have a gel texture that stays where you put it.

Silicone-based anal lubes last the longest but should not be used with silicone toys. Water-based gels are compatible with every toy and with latex condoms. Some formulas contain a numbing agent, which can mask pain and make it easy to overdo it, so use these with care. Always go slowly and reapply as often as you need.

Apply lube to the toy and to the area, and add more whenever the glide starts to fade. You can never use too much for anal play.
